Essentially there are three types of resume, the skills based resume, the chronological resume and the combined resume format.
Recruitment Industry Resumes
Recruitment firms will generally standardise their resumes into a chronological format. Having a standard format makes for easy comparison when reviewing one company’s shortlist but does not mean that you have to comply.
Your Resume
When considering which format to use, ask yourself the question, Am I presenting myself in the most positive light possible? You need to use the format that presents you in the most suitable way for this post.
